Farm Fresh Dominates Nxled for Second Straight Victory in PVL Reinforced Conference
PASIG CITY—Farm Fresh secured a commanding win over Nxled, 25-16, 25-15, 25-17, in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference at the Philsports Arena on Saturday. This win marks their second consecutive victory in Pool A of the tournament, showcasing strong performances from both local and international players.
According to Philippines News Agency, Colombian import Yeny Murillo led the charge with 21 attacks and a block, while Trisha Gayle Tubo from Adamson University contributed 16 attacks. This victory builds on Farm Fresh’s previous five-set triumph over the Galeries Tower Highrisers on July 30, which had reversed a two-game losing streak. Tubo highlighted the significance of the prior win, stating, “That win in our last game was a huge boost because we carried the energy into this match and never let it drop.”
Supporting roles were also notable, with Caitlin Viray and Chinnie Arroyo adding seven and six points, respectively. Louie Romero, the team’s skipper, made 13 excellent sets, while Janel Delerio provided solid defense with nine excellent digs and four receptions. In contrast, Nxled, with contributions from Chiara Permentilla and import Meegan Hart, struggled to find their rhythm, resulting in their third loss of the season against one win.
The ongoing tournament structure will see the top three teams from each pool progress to a second-round crossover with the bottom three teams of the opposite pool. Following this, the top eight will enter the knockout quarterfinals. Currently, PLDT leads Pool A with a perfect 3-0 record, followed closely by Creamline and Chery Tiggo. Farm Fresh’s recent victory places them at a 2-2 record, enhancing their position in the competitive league standings.
