Post: EU Delegation Strengthens Bilateral Relations with Brunei Darussalam

Bandar seri begawan: As part of efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between Brunei Darussalam and the European Union, Ms. Paola Pampaloni, Deputy Managing Director for Asia and the Pacific at the European External Action Service, held a courtesy call with Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib, Speaker of the Legislative Council. The meeting took place at the Dewan Majlis building, where both parties exchanged views on regional and international matters, including issues of common interest, the importance of maintaining global peace and prosperity, as well as commitment towards the multilateralism system.

According to Radio Television Brunei, discussions also focused on strengthening trade cooperation and fostering inclusivity and solidarity in addressing current global challenges. Also present during the meeting was Datin Paduka Doctor Dayang Hajah Huraini binti Pehin Orang Kaya Setia Jaya Dato Paduka Awang Haji Hurairah, who serves as Clerk to the Privy Council, Secretary to the Cabinet Ministers’ Council, and Clerk to the Legislative Council.
