Epilepsy Awareness Talk Highlights Importance of Understanding and Inclusivity

BRUNEI DARUSSALAM — Enhancing understanding and support for individuals suffering from epilepsy was the focus of a recent Epilepsy Awareness Talk. The event emphasized the need for greater public awareness and knowledge to improve the lives of those affected by this often misunderstood health condition.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Acting Director of the Civil Service Institute, who was present at the talk, the event covered various aspects of epilepsy, including its common types, symptoms, and appropriate response measures during an attack. The Epilepsy Empowerment Group, in collaboration with Pantai Jerudong Specialist Centre and supported by several local organizations such as Gleneagles Jerudong Park Medical Centre and Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam, organized the event. It aimed to empower attendees with knowledge and strategies for better managing epilepsy and supporting those who live with it.
