The Islamic Studies Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs received the enrolment and registration of pre-school pupils for the 1442 Hijrah/2021 session for all religious schools in the four districts.
Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Religious School in Kuala Belait, yesterday afternoon, saw the enrolment of 149 pre-school pupils. According to Dayang Norazimah binti Haji Kahar, the school's Headmistress, preparations for the pre-schoolers' enrolment started last year with memo and a briefing in December.
Meanwhile in the Tutong District, 626 pre-school pupils started their schooling session yesterday afternoon. Tumpuan Telisai Religious School had 42 pre-school pupils enrolled this year. According to the school's headmistress, this year, the school saw an increase of 26 percent compared to last year. Dayang Nur 'Aleemah binti Haji Gapor, the parents and guardians were briefed on the Religious School Compulsory Education Act, the school's mission and vision as well as the school's rules and regulations.
In the Temburong District, ninety seven new pupils have registered for the religious pre-school session this year. At Amo Religious School, the pupils will study Al-Quran, Tauhid, Adab, Jawi lessons, Amali and Arabic Language.
