Energy Incubation Centre

Prior to deliberations on the allocation for the Ministry of Energy, the Legislative Council approved the allocation for the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications. Meanwhile, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mat Suny bin Haji Md Hussien, Minister of Energy in opening remarks on the proposed allocation for the Ministry, explained that the Ministry of Energy and Darussalam Enterprise are collaborating in building an Energy Incubation Centre at Sungai Liang Industrial Park, SPARK.

The initiative is intended as a platform to cultivate growth mindset among Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, MSMEs in the energy sector. The Ministry of Energy will continue to make use of opportunities of local value development not only in the oil and gas sector but also in the electricity sector by planning a special Local Business Development Directive in this sector. It is expected to contribute more local value in the aspect of spending and recruitment of local employees. To improve the capacity of local companies, the Ministry of Energy is the leader of the i-Usahawan Programme in the energy sector.
