Embassy of Turkiye in Brunei Holds Centenary Reception, Highlights Four Decades of Diplomatic Relations

Brunei Darussalam, Gadong — A reception was held by the Embassy of the Republic of Turkiye in Brunei Darussalam last night to mark the centenary year of the Republic of Turkiye. The event took place at a hotel in Gadong and was attended by government officials.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Dr Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd. Salleh, Minister of Education, represented the government of His Majesty at the event. His Excellency Professor Dr Hamit Ersoy, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkiye, spoke about the 40-year diplomatic relationship between the two countries. The reception also featured the screening of video clips highlighting the art and culture of Turkiye and included a certificate presentation for participants who completed a Turkish language course.
