The First Meeting of the 19th Legislative Council Session continued on the 6th day yesterday with the approval of the Allocation for the Ministry of Home Affairs and the departments under it. The morning session began with a response from Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd. Amin Liew bin Abdullah, on the construction industry which is regarded as a major industry. The Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy clarified that at this time several facilities and industrial sites are being built to further increase economic activities.
Yang Berhormat said there are already four industrial sites in Belait District beside other activities such as Brunei Methanol Company, BFI, BLNG and not counting BSP, and BSP operations in the District. In Tutong District, the aqua-culture activities are expected to continue increasing production and other activities. Meanwhile, in Temburong District there is an industrial estate but at the same time there are developments at Labu Square as well as Bangar Town.
