The Ministry of Finance continued its Ease of Doing Business Roadshow to the Temburong District in the morning at Dewan Belalong of the Bangar Town Civic Centre Complex.

The roadshow was to disseminate information to the public on matters pertaining to cross-border ease of doing business, legal protection for minority shareholders, changes relating to tax-payment, settlement process for companies as well as to explain regulations for easing the process of starting a business.

The roadshow was participated by the Treasury Department, the Royal Customs and Excise Department, the Employee Trust Fund, Revenue and Registration of Companies and Business Names Section as well as other relevant agencies including Ease of Doing Business Unit under the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ports Department, Postal Services Department and Darussalam Enterprise, DARe. Also present at the roadshow was Awang Haji Mohammad Sunadi bin Haji Buntar, Deputy Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs.

In an interview with RTB, Awang Haji Ideris bin Haji Ali, Senior Special Duties Officer at the Ministry of Finance, said members of the public including entrepreneurs welcome the government effort in disseminating information on ease of doing business in the country. He added, the roadshow also aims to inform the public on the procedure on how to start a business, and enquiries can be made directly at the counter.
