The well-being of the frontliners is very important and a priority in the country. In support of efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19, the Red Crescent Association and Singapore’s Red Cross Association in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Center donated 40 thousand pieces of face masks to several government agencies.  The ceremony was held yesterday morning at the Red Crescent Association’s National Headquarters.

 

The donation was officiated by Awang Mohd Amir Hairil bin Haji Mahmud, Permanent Secretary For Security, Welfare And Law At The Ministry Of Home Affairs. The government agencies included the Ministry of Home Affairs, Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Royal Brunei Police Force, Fire and Rescue Department, as well as the Civil Aviation Department. The donation was part of the initiatives of the Brunei Darussalam Red Crescent Association to ensure that frontliners will always protect themselves from COVID-19 while on duty and facing the general public as a precautionary measure.
