DOJ Adds Harry Roque and 11 Others to Immigration Lookout List
MANILA — The Department of Justice (DOJ) has issued a lookout bulletin order for former presidential spokesperson Herminio ‘Harry’ Roque Jr. and 11 other individuals, according to DOJ officials on Tuesday.
According to Philippines News Agency, the Immigration Lookout Bulletin Order (LBO) was directed to the Bureau of Immigration to monitor the travel movements of the twelve named persons. The LBO does not prohibit travel but ensures that immigration authorities and the DOJ are promptly informed about the individuals’ entry into or exit from the Philippines. The measure typically applies to individuals considered a flight risk or who are under investigation.
The LBO was initiated after preliminary findings indicated that another individual linked to the Philippine Overseas Gaming Operators (POGO) syndicates, Sandra Li Ong, had left the country. Others listed in the LBO include Xiang Tan, Jing Gu, Stephanie B. Mascareñas, Michael Bryce B. Mascareñas, Zhang Jie, Duanren Wu, Raymund Calleon G. Co, Randel Calleon G. Co, Dennis L. Cunanan, and Han Gao. A precautionary hold departure order is also expected to be filed during the preliminary investigation phase.
Harry Roque responded to the news by stating his intention to remain in the country and confront any allegations related to his supposed connections with POGOs.
