Bandar seri begawan: In conjunction with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 79th Birthday Celebration, the Department of Councils of State hosted a Doa Kesyukuran Ceremony on the afternoon of July 16. The event was held at the Dewan Majlis building Surau, Department of Councils of State, with the presence of Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib, the Speaker of the Legislative Council.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the ceremony was organized to express gratitude for His Majesty’s leadership. It also aimed to seek blessings from Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala for His Majesty’s continued good health and long life.
