Cristiano Ronaldo Faces Suspension for Obscene Gesture in Saudi League Match

ISTANBUL – Cristiano Ronaldo has been suspended for one match following an incident where he appeared to make an obscene gesture after Al Nassr’s victory over Al Shabab, as announced by the Saudi Football Federation’s Disciplinary and Ethics Committee.

According to Philippines News Agency, The Portuguese footballer was also fined a total of 30,000 Saudi riyals for his actions and the costs incurred by Al-Shabab for filing the complaint. The suspension and fines come as Ronaldo continues to make headlines in the Saudi Pro League, with his move to Al-Nassr last year attracting other high-profile players to the league. This decision by the committee underscores the league’s stance on maintaining sportsmanship and discipline.
