Post: Cordillera Police Strengthened by Influx of 200 New Officers

Cordillera Administrative Region, Philippines – The Cordillera Administrative Region’s police force welcomed 200 new officers as part of its 2023 recruitment program. Brig. Gen. Patrick Allan, deputy regional director for administration of the Police Regional Office-Cordillera (PROCor), presided over the oath-taking ceremony, marking the beginning of the recruits’ law enforcement careers. The new recruits, comprising 142 patrolmen and 58 patrolwomen, were selected from each province in the region to ensure balanced allocation.

According to Philippines News Agency, following their oath-taking, these recruits will undergo a six-month basic training course at the CAR Training Center in Baguio City’s Teacher’s Camp. The curriculum includes mental and physical training, after which they will participate in a field training program at various police stations. According to Col. Carolina Lacuata, PROCor information officer, these new officers were recruited to fill the attrition quota, replacing personnel who retired, resigned, or were separated from service. The recruits will receive a monthly salary of PHP29,668 starting November 13.
