The Ministry of Religious Affairs through the Syariah Affairs Department confirmed that Soft99’s Digloss Kamitore Wheel Brush are made out of boar bristles. The product in question is of doubtful status and was sold openly in one of the premises in the country.
The confirmation was obtained from the website of the manufacturing company, Soft99 Corporation, Japan. In this regard, to safeguard the well-being of Muslims in the country, the Syariah Affairs Department has instructed the premise owner to immediately separate all of the brushes from public sale. Other business owners are also required to separate all of the brushes if found to be sold at their premises. Business owners and managers as well as product suppliers and importers in the country are reminded to always be cautious and aware of the products imported that will be sold to the public to ensure that the product is halal.
