Comelec Identifies Two Firms Eligible for 2025 Election Transmission System Bid

MANILA – The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has declared two joint ventures as qualified to bid for the Secure Electronic Transmission Services (SETS) for the upcoming midterm elections. The Comelec-Special Bids and Awards Committee (SBAC) approved the participation of EBizolution, Inc. – Secur Links Network and Technologies Inc.-Systems Information and Solutions Corporation (Ebiz), and Ione Resources Inc.-Ardent Networks, Inc. (Ione Resources) in the bidding process.

According to Philippines News Agency, Ione Resources submitted the lowest calculated bid of PHP1.426 billion. The SETS project, valued at PHP1.638 billion, is critical for transmitting election results and ensuring the security and efficiency of the electoral process. Comelec spokesperson John Rex Laudiangco highlighted that the new SETS would enhance the quick count operations of election watchdogs by providing them with individual servers, thus expediting the release of unofficial election results.
