The Climate Action Week in conjunction with the Brunei Mid-Year Conference and Exhibition, MYCE 2022 resumed for the second day yesterday. Yesterday morning, two thematic seminars were held, focusing on Carbon Market and Electric Vehicle.
Among those present was Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Matsatejo bin Sokiaw, Deputy Minister, Department of Energy at the Prime Minister's Office. The first seminar introduced the Carbon Market which aims to expedite transition to a cleaner energy source specifically to reduce carbon dioxide emission.
The second seminar on Electric Vehicle highlighted on studies which found that well-mixed greenhouse gas emissions have contributed to warming by 1 point 5 degrees Celsius, and one of the sources is from land transport.
