Climate Action Week, Morning Session

The Climate Action Week in conjunction with the Brunei Mid-Year Conference and Exhibition, Brunei MYCE 2022 continued yesterday with the two thematic for morning session, namely thematic 5 ‘Climate Resilient Infrastructure’ and thematic 6 ‘Climate Resilient Crops’. The event took place at the International Convention Centre, Berakas.

Present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Paduka Doctor Awang Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism. The session touches on how we can develop infrastructure that is appropriate and resilient to climate change. With the effects of climate change becoming increasingly significant, most countries have equipped themselves to face any impending effects of climate change. The importance of having infrastructure that is less vulnerable to the effects of climate change was also emphasized at the United Nation Development Programme Workshop in early May.
