Choco Mucho Secures Fourth Consecutive Win in PVL All-Filipino Conference
PASIG CITY — Choco Mucho claimed its fourth consecutive victory by defeating NXLED in a straight-set match, 25-11, 25-20, 25-19, during the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference at Philsports Arena on Tuesday.
According to Philippines News Agency, the team’s strategy and adaptability were crucial to their win. Lopez credited Coach Dante Alinsunurin for emphasizing the importance of adhering to the team’s system and the need for players to adjust their gameplay dynamically against different opponents.
Cherry Ann Rondina spearheaded the Flying Titans’ offense with 14 attacks, complemented by two blocks and 12 digs. The team showcased a balanced attack with Isa Molde contributing nine attacks, and the combined efforts of Katrina Mae Tolentino, Cherry Rose Nunag, and Aduke Christine Ogunsanya, who each added six points to the victory.
NXLED put up resistance in the third set, drawing the score even at 19-19, before Choco Mucho swiftly concluded the set, sealing the match in just 81 minutes. Ma. Deanna Izabella Wong, the setter for the Flying Titans, facilitated the offense effectively, posting 20 excellent sets.
On the other side of the net, Jhoana Maraguinot was the standout performer for NXLED with 13 attacks and one service ace, alongside 13 excellent receptions. Despite their efforts, NXLED succumbed to its fourth straight loss, with Judith Abil recording 11 attacks and teammates Lycha Ebon and Victoria adding to the scoreboard.
Choco Mucho’s upcoming match will pit them against Akari on November 11, as they look to extend their winning streak and solidify their standing in the conference.
