Brunei Darussalam is not left behind in celebrating the World Children’s Day which is celebrated every 20th of November. The celebration is the country’s continuous effort towards ratify the Convention on the Rights of the Children and boost the spirit of unity and awareness on children’s rights and welfare among the community. In this regard, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports through the Community Development Department held the Culmination Event of the World Children’s Day 2022, yesterday morning. The function took place at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
The ceremony was officiated by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. Earlier, Dayang Mirany Floridzah binti Abdul Rahman, Acting Director of Community Development in her welcoming remarks touched on the theme, A Better Future For Every Child, which focuses on the involvement of children so that they possess a clear vision and objective. The celebration was enlivened with a sketch performance by the pupils of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah School.
