Children are not excluded from the swab test payment. This was stated by Yang Berhormat the Minister of Health in response to a query on swab test payment for those who wish to travel abroad for specific reasons.

According to Yang Berhormat, swab test is not based on age, hence children are not exempted from swab test payment. Yang Berhormat further explained that people who have underwent swab test overseas must undergo another swab test as soon as they arrived in Brunei Darussalam. This will be an exception if Brunei Darussalam has reached an agreement with another country on how travel will be made. Hence, the country’s standard of procedure still remains the same, which requires swab test for anyone entering the country.
