Belait: Kampung Pandan 'A' Consultative Council held a Checkers tournament in conjunction with the 79th Royal Birthday Celebration for Belait District. The event brought together participants from various age groups and was organized over a span of three days at the Kuala Belait Municipal Hall.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the tournament saw the participation of 17 individuals, categorized into groups for children, adult men, and women. The conclusion of the event featured a prize-giving ceremony, where Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Mohd Salleh bin Haji Othman, a Member of the Legislative Council, presented awards to the winners.
