Basic education and learning in Religion and Life need not only start from the home, but should continue to be strengthened and practised daily with the family. The surroundings and environment of a family who always practises religious and Al-Quran teachings studied in the religious school will ensure individuals who are pious as well as nobly behaved and happy families who are the pillar of a harmonious, safe and prosperous community and country. The Deputy Minister of Finance, Ministry of Finance and Economy said students are the heirs and will be the heads of the country’s future leadership.
Dato Seri Paduka Dr Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin said the country needs youths with strong Bruneian identity where Islam is an important pillar of strength. Hence, if the six years of religious education is practised in daily life, it will become a shield and aid in overcoming challenges and trials faced by the individual, society and country.
The Deputy Minister made the remarks during the presentation of certificates to excellent students in the Religious Primary Schools Certificate Examinations for Primary Six 2018. The ceremony was for pupils of Pengiran Anak Puteri Majeedah Nuurul Bolqiah Religious School in Kampung Kilanas. 86 pupils including 2 special needs pupils received the certificates.
