Post: Cebu Pacific to Reinstate Direct Flights from Iloilo to Hong Kong in October

ILOILO CITY — Cebu Pacific (CEB), the Gokongwei-led airline, has announced that it will resume direct flights between Iloilo and Hong Kong starting October 27, restoring a key international connection suspended since March 2020 due to the pandemic.

According to Philippines News Agency, the resumption of these flights will position CEB as the sole provider of international flights from Iloilo. Iyog emphasized the airline's commitment to enhancing the accessibility and affordability of air travel for passengers in the Visayas region. The service will operate four times a week from Iloilo International Airport on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with return flights from Hong Kong on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

The direct flights will significantly reduce travel time, offering a journey of less than three hours compared to the alternative of up to 12 hours via connecting flights with layovers in Manila. This enhancement in service is expected to appeal greatly to travelers seeking efficient and direct routes between these destinations.

In conjunction with the announcement, Cebu Pacific is also promoting an aggressive fare sale, offering base fares as low as PHP1 for domestic and international flights, exclusive of fees and surcharges. This promotional fare is available from July 26 to 31, for travel scheduled between October 27, 2024, and March 29, 2025.

Currently, Cebu Pacific operates 35 domestic and 25 international routes, with ongoing expansion plans that include increased services via Manila, Clark, and Davao, reinforcing its commitment to broadening its network and enhancing connectivity for its customers.
