MANILA — ArenaPlus has announced a PHP 5 million cash reward for Carlos Yulo, the Paris Olympics double-gold medalist, recognizing his historic achievement in gymnastics. This "Astig Sports Bonus" celebrates Yulo's role as the official brand ambassador for the Philippines' leading sports entertainment gateway.
According to Philippines News Agency, the reward is both a recognition of Yulo's historic performance at the Olympics and a testament to their ongoing partnership. Yulo, who clinched gold in both the men's floor exercise and vault, is the first Filipino to secure two gold medals in a single Olympics. "Kasama mo kami sa laban ngayon. Parte ka na ng kasaysayan. At para sa patuloy nating paglalakbay sa ating magandang pinagsamahan, sa iyo rin ang Astig Sports Bonus of PHP5 million (We are with you in this fight. You are part of history. Beyond the reward from ArenaPlus, Yulo is set to receive significant accolades from both governmental and private sectors for his Olympic success. The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), under the National Athletes and Coaches Benefits and Incentives Act (RA 10699), will provide PHP 20 million, allocating PHP 10 million for each gold medal. Additional rewards include PHP 6 million from the House of Representatives, a house and lot in Tagaytay provided by the Philippine Olympic Committee, and a condominium unit worth PHP 35 million from a property development company.
