Calabarzon’s Most Wanted Individual Arrested in Lipa City
LIPA CITY, BATANGAS – In a significant development for law enforcement in the Calabarzon region, the Laguna Police Provincial Office (LPPO) has successfully apprehended a man who had been dubbed the “Most Wanted Person” in the area. The individual, identified only as ‘Oscar,’ was arrested on Monday in San Lucas Village, Lipa City, Batangas, marking the end of an extensive search for the alleged rapist.
According to Philippines News Agency, Oscar faces serious charges, including two counts of rape and three counts of acts of lasciviousness. The arrest was the culmination of a carefully orchestrated operation by the Biñan Component City Police Station, under the leadership of Lt. Col. Jonathan Robert Rongavilla. The operation was backed by a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Teodoro Nablo Solis of the Regional Trial Court Branch 25 in Biñan City.
Col. Gauvin Mel Unos, acting director of the LPPO, conveyed the significance of the arrest in a statement to reporters on Tuesday. He emphasized the police force’s commitment to delivering justice for victims of criminal acts and reiterated their unwavering dedication to protecting the community. According to Unos, this arrest underscores the police’s determination to fulfill their sworn duty to serve and protect the public.
The suspect is currently being held at the city jail in Biñan, awaiting further legal proceedings.
