“Tebalik Plastik” was crowned as the winner of the BSM Disrupt competition, a hackathon programme which acts as a platform for Brunei Shell Marketing, BSM to collaborate with new business partners. It aimed to crowdsource ideas on how to solve a problem or improve a current service within the BSM Company. The prize presentation and closing ceremony of the programme was held yesterday morning at the Brunei Malay Teachers Association Building, PGGMB.
Prizes were presented by Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Matsatejo bin Sokiaw, Deputy Minister, Department of Energy at the Prime Minister’s Office. Awang Muhammad Norshafiee bin Dato Paduka Hj Abd Jalil, BSM’s Managing Director, in his speech outlined BSM’s commitment to build partnerships and working with businesses to improve customer’s experience in innovative ways. Tebalik Plastik is a recycling startup inspired by Precious Plastic to tackle the plastic problem in the country. Second place winner was Recap Sendirian Berhad, with its vision to shift the digital ecosystem towards meaningful impact and growth through the development and management of digital talent. Third place winner, Tag Technologies is a company run by studentprenuers from Politeknik Brunei.
