Brunei’s Daily New COVID-19 Cases Exceed 100 For Nine Consecutive Days

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Aug 28 (NNN-ANN) – Brunei reported 115 new COVID-19 cases yesterday, bringing the national tally to 2,380.

According to Brunei’s Ministry of Health, the new cases include 112 local infections and three imported cases.

While the source of infection of 59 local cases is still under investigation, 42 active clusters have already been confirmed and one new cluster was reported yesterday.

It also marked the ninth consecutive day that the daily cases have exceeded 100.

Currently, 1,757 active cases are being treated and monitored at the National Isolation Centre, with five of them in critical condition, requiring respiratory assistance and 29 other patients under close monitoring.

Brunei also reported 35 recoveries yesterday. A total of 613 patients have recovered and 10 deaths have been reported so far, in the country.– NNN-ANN
