Brunei-Cambridge G.C.E. ‘AS’ and ‘A’ Level Exam Results ReleasedEasterlies and Northeast Monsoon Bring Cloudy Skies and Isolated Rains Across the Philippines
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN – The results of the Brunei-Cambridge G.C.E. ‘AS’ and ‘A’ Level examinations for the October/November 2023 academic session have been announced. The outcomes reflect the academic achievements of students across the country.
According to Radio Television Brunei, A total of 1,115 candidates sat for the BC-GCE ‘AS’ Level Examination, with 1,110 being school candidates. Of these, 72.70% achieved 2 ‘AS’ levels and above, and 47.03% obtained 3 ‘AS’ levels and above. For the BC-GCE ‘A’ Level Examination, 1,649 candidates participated, including 1,582 school candidates. Among them, 84.39% obtained 2 ‘A’ levels and above, while 67.83% secured 3 ‘A’ levels and above. Results are accessible via Short Message Registration (SMS), and result slips will be issued subsequently. Private candidates will receive their result slips on a later date to be announced. Registration for the May/June 2024 session of the Brunei-Cambridge GCE ‘AS’ and ‘A’ Level Examinations is still open, with a closing date of February 15, 2024. School candidates should register through their respective schools.
MANILA- Most parts of the Philippines are expected to experience cloudy skies with isolated rains on Saturday, due to the combined influence of the easterlies and the northeast monsoon.
According to the Philippines News Agency, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Northern Luzon will be particularly affected by the northeast monsoon, resulting in partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the Cagayan Valley, Ilocos, and Cordillera regions. The agency’s 4 a.m. bulletin also forecasted that the rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms as a result of the easterlies and localized thunderstorms. Strong winds and rough coastal waters are anticipated over the eastern sections of the Visayas and Mindanao. Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas are expected in the remaining parts of the archipelago. PAGASA also provided temperature ranges for several cities, including Metro Manila, Baguio City, Laoag City, Legazpi City, Metro Cebu, Puerto Princesa City, and Metro Davao.
