Kiulap: The Joint Committee Senior Officials’ Meeting (JCSOM) between Brunei Darussalam and Singapore marks a significant step in elevating strategic cooperation and enhancing institutional coordination. The meeting, held on July 9th in Kiulap, aimed to drive impactful outcomes across various sectors.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the 3rd JCSOM serves as a platform to deepen engagement between Brunei and Singapore, focusing on strategic areas such as food security, healthcare, low-carbon energy, and the green economy. This initiative underscores the commitment of both nations to foster closer ties and address common challenges.
Doctor Dayang Hajah May Fa’ezah binti Haji Ahmad Ariffin, Permanent Secretary for Economy, Trade and Industry at Brunei’s Ministry of Finance and Economy, co-chaired the meeting alongside Doctor Beh Swan Gin, Permanent Secretary at Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry. Both officials emphasized the importance of the meeting in advancing the collaborative efforts of the two countries in these key sectors.
