‘Borneo Pulau Bersejarah’ Project Launched to Celebrate Regional History

KAMPUNG ANGGREK DESA - The 'Borneo Pulau Bersejarah' project, initiated by the Brunei History Centre through the Borneo Research Centre, penBORNEO, was officially launched on April 27th. The project aims to highlight the history, culture, and heritage of Brunei Darussalam, Sabah and Sarawak in Malaysia, and Kalimantan in Indonesia.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the project was inaugurated at the penBORNEO building by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. The theme 'Sejarah Memperkasa Hubungan Seborneo' reflects the project's goal to strengthen regional ties through historical understanding. The event was attended by notable dignitaries including His Excellency Professor Doctor Achmad Ubaedillah, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia, and His Excellency Raja Dato' Reza bin Raja Zaib Shah, Malaysian High Commissioner. The project features working papers, lectures, and exhibitions and is open to the public until April 28th.
