Bolinao Airport Project Progresses with 70% Land Acquisition
BOLINAO — The PHP800-million Bolinao Airport project, a significant development for Pangasinan, has reached 70 percent completion in land acquisition, Governor Ramon Guico III reported on Wednesday.
According to Philippines News Agency, the provincial government, Governor Guico confirmed the advancement but withheld specific details regarding the airport’s location to prevent affecting the ongoing land acquisition process. The project financing is set to be a combination of provincial government funds and a loan from the state-owned Land Bank of the Philippines. The Bolinao Airport is expected to feature a 1,500-meter runway, suitable for propeller-type commercial aircraft, such as the Airbus 320. “Phase two will include an expansion to a 2.5-kilometer taxiway, as well as additional infrastructure necessary for full operations,” Guico elaborated.
