Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam, BIBD, yesterday held a farewell event for one its Advocating Life-Long Learning for an Aspiring Future, BIBD ALAF students who will be pursuing his studies in the United Kingdom this month.
Lai Fook Looeng, a student from the second batch of the BIBD ALAF programme, will be pursuing his Master of Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, for five years. At the event, a signing ceremony of ‘BIBD ALAF Scholars’ offer letter was held between the student and BIBD. BIBD was represented by its Head of Marketing Officer, Hajah Nurul Akmar binti Haji Mohd Jaafar.
The programme aimed to support the life-long learning aspirations of its students. Selected students must achieve excellent examination results, scoring 85% and above, for 3 consecutive years.
