As Muslims, learning the Arabic Language has many benefits as the language is used in daily religious practices. By understanding Arabic Language, acts of worship can be performed more wholeheartedly, apart from enhancing one’s self capacity and added value as it enables a person to communicate better if they are in Arab countries.
The Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Arabic Language, UNISSA said learning or understanding Arabic language can also assist in learning the sources of Islam namely Al-Quran and Al-Hadith.
In Brunei Darussalam, Arabic language is not the first or second language. However, the number of Arabic language speakers is on the rise following the increase in student admissions to Arabic schools and the number of Arabic schools.
