BARMM Police Boosts Operational Capability with New Patrol Vehicles and Security Equipment
Parang, Maguindanao del Norte – The Police Regional Office in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PRO-BARMM) has significantly enhanced its operational capacity with the distribution of new police vehicles and security equipment to various units within the region. This initiative is part of an effort to improve law enforcement and public safety services.
According to Philippines News Agency, Brig. Gen. Allan Nobleza, the PRO-BARMM director, oversaw the turnover of the equipment at Camp SK Pendatun, the headquarters of PRO-BAR in Parang. The total investment, amounting to over PHP47.5 million, includes 20 brand-new police pickup vehicles and modern security operations equipment. Six vehicles were allocated to the Maguindanao del Norte Provincial Police Office (PPO), 11 to the Maguindanao del Sur PPO, and two to the Lanao del Sur PPO. In addition to the vehicles, 145 undershirt vests, 47 enhanced combat helmets, and 47 tactical vests were distributed, particularly to high-risk police stations across the BARMM.
Nobleza emphasized the importance of utilizing these resources to provide substantial assistance to the community. He also acknowledged the support and collaboration of local government entities in maintaining peace and order in the region.
