AUSTRALIAN FIRM INTRODUCES CLOUD-BASED WATER SYSTEM IN CAMIGUIN

Camiguin, Philippines – The Camiguin Island province will soon have its water system upgraded to be the first “cloud-based water system” in the country, thanks to an Australian firm. Governor Xavier Jesus Romualdo reported that representatives from the Tracwater Company, led by CEO Len McKelvey, recently paid a visit to the provincial capitol for discussions with officials from the Camiguin Water Company (CWC).

According to a news release by Philippines News Agency, Distinct from traditional water monitoring methods that necessitate manual sampling and subsequent lab testing, cloud-based water systems leverage automated robotic solutions for instantaneous water quality assessments. Governor Romualdo emphasized that this technological partnership would bolster the water’s safety and drinkability.

According to its LinkedIn profile, Tracwater has been operating its proprietary “robotic water data system” since 2009. In a recent development this May, Jonathan Sarsonas was appointed as CWC’s new general manager. His responsibilities encompass overseeing the company’s operations and ensuring a consistent and safe water supply. The CWC began delivering water supply services to Camiguin residents in November 2022. Additionally, last year saw a partnership between CWC and CIWASCO resulting in an investment exceeding PHP61 million.
