ASEAN Youth Forum enhances the Role of Youths
The ASEAN Youth Forum aims to formulate ideas and proposals to enhance the role of ASEAN Youth in realizing sustainable development, ensure the readiness of ASEAN Youth in facing future challenges and opportunities in the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0 and in the context of new post-pandemic normals. Apart from that, the forum also encouraged substantive dialogue among the delegations and the ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Youth Leaders, AMMY and the Head of the ASEAN Secretariat. The matter was shared by Yang Berhormat Dayang Khairunnisa binti Awang Haji Ash’ari, Member of the Legislative Council as the President of the Brunei Youth Council.
The programme was implemented to enhance youth leadership, self-development and promote cross-sectoral cooperation among the ten ASEAN Member States involving 75 delegates, aged between 18 to 31 years. Various contents are produced throughout the programme such as education, economics and the role of youth.
Various activities were held at the closing of the forum including the delegates having meals together virtually showcasing their own traditional food, which is one of the ways to increase ASEAN understanding through the ‘Digital Platform’ while introducing the ASEAN culture among the delegates.
