The winners of ‘TechKids Camp 2021′, Awang Alman Hazim bin Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan; and Awang Izz Wali bin A. Junaidi represented Brunei Darussalam to the ASEAN CyberKids Camp 2021 which was held virtually. The event was organized by the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of Cambodia.
The Year 5 students from Saint Andrew’s School were accompanied by their supervising tutor, Awang Mohamad Zuno Kartono Bin Haji Ali, from the Curriculum Development Department, Ministry of Education. ASEAN CyberKids Camp is a competition that aims to enhance the students’ skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork and ability to use ICT creatively. Nine ASEAN member states participated in this year’s Camp where each team was represented by two students, aged between 7 and 12 years old. The gold award was won by Indonesia and Singapore. Meanwhile, Brunei Darussalam won Bronze award.
