The Embassy of the United States of America in Brunei Darussalam hosted its 5th-annual Alumni Gala to celebrate its growing network of 435 Bruneian alumni of U.S Department of State-sponsored exchange programme. The event was held at a hotel in Gadong, 23rd September night.
Her Excellency Caryn R. McClelland, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the country in her speech explained that Alumni leaders in various fields will continue their experience to network with each other. More than 120 U.S exchange alumni attended the event which highlighted alumni achievement in numerous fields. The event coincided with a prize presentation for an essay writing competition co-organized by the U.S Embassy and the Brunei English Language Teachers Association, BELTA.
