Two Brunei Darussalam participants will compete in the 42nd Al-Malik Abdul Aziz International Musabaqah for Memorisation, Recitation and Interpretation of Al-Quran at Makkah Al-Mukarramah. The 12-day Musabaqah is taking place until the 21st of September.
Awang Muhammad Hisyamuddin bin Haji Mahadini, a fourth year student from Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, UNISSA, and Awang Ahmad Hamizan bin Haji Laidin, a first year student undertaking the Aliyah Qiraat Diploma at Sultan Haji Hasanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Quran Institute left the country on 9th September. Awang Muhammad Hisyamuddin will take part in the Memorisation of 30 Juzu or Chapters of Al-Quran category, while Awang Ahmad Hamizan will compete in the Memorisation of 15 Chapters of Al-Quran category.
