BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: The middle and left lanes of the Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Highway, heading toward Gadong, are temporarily closed for roadworks. The closure, which commenced last evening, will remain in effect until the early hours of tomorrow, January 31, as crews carry out asphalt laying on these lanes.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the closures on Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Highway are scheduled each night from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. to facilitate the necessary maintenance. Motorists are advised to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid delays and ensure safety during these hours.
In addition to the highway works, there will be partial road closures in Belait and Tutong Districts tomorrow. These closures are set to take place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. to allow for essential traffic light repair works. The affected routes include the Muara Tutong Highway at both Jalan Sungai Basong (Tutong Camp) and Jalan Sengkarai (Seri Kenangan Beach), as well as Jalan Lumut By-Pass at Simpang 787 (SPARK) and Jalan Maulana at Jalan Likap.
Motorists using these routes are encouraged to exercise caution and consider alternative routes to minimize disruption. The authorities are committed to completing the works efficiently to restore normal traffic flow as soon as possible.
