Hari Raya Aidilfitri Celebration Highlights Universiti Brunei Darussalam’s 40-Year Achievements

Brunei: Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) celebrated its 40th anniversary with a special Hari Raya Aidilfitri event themed ‘Gemilang 40: Gemerlapan Aidilfitri’ at Bridex, Jerudong. The event took place on the morning of April 23rd and marked a significant milestone for the university, highlighting its accomplishments over the past four decades.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the celebration was graced by the presence of Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh, Minister of Education. The event was structured into two sessions, with the morning session drawing over three hundred attendees. These attendees included industry partners, alumni, and strategic stakeholders who have played vital roles in the growth and success of UBD.

This year’s celebration also underscored UBD’s dedication to sustainability. The event featured a green theme, utilizing biodegradable plates and utensils to minimize environmental impact. Guests were also encouraged to bring their own reusable cutlery, demonstrating UBD’s commitment to environmental responsibility and innovation.
