Berakas: Artificial Intelligence is revolutionizing workplace safety with its ability to predict risks, monitor in real time, and accelerate hazard detection using smart devices, drones, and automation systems. Innovations in AI are making workplaces smarter and more responsive as highlighted in a speech by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Defence. He serves as the Minister Responsible for the Safety, Health, and Environment National Authority (SHENA) and addressed the concerns during the inauguration of the Workplace Safety and Health Conference.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the speech was delivered by Dayang Hajah Farida binti Dato Seri Paduka Haji Talib, Permanent Secretary for Energy at the Prime Minister’s Office and a member of SHENA’s Board of Directors. Yang Berhormat Pehin also emphasized that Brunei Darussalam is strengthening its commitment to occupational safety and health through reforms implemented by SHENA. The conference features a Special Keynote Address and more than twenty professional panellists from various sectors. It also includes thirty exhibitions and is being held at the International Convention Centre, Berakas, in conjunction with the World Day for Safety and Health at Work Celebration.
