Agusan del Norte Launches “Tabo with a Heart” Event for Valentine’s Day
AGUSAN DEL NORTE – The provincial government of Agusan del Norte initiated a special two-day event titled “Tabo with a Heart” at the Children’s Park within the capitol grounds, coinciding with Valentine’s Day celebrations.
According to Philippines News Agency, the event, which ran from February 14-15, was organized in partnership with the Department of Agriculture (DA) 13 (Caraga Region) and featured an array of fresh farm produce from local farmers’ groups.
The initiative aimed to support the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by showcasing their processed food and non-food items to the public. In efforts to boost local agriculture and entrepreneurship, DA-13 urged residents of Butuan City and neighboring areas to participate in the event, emphasizing the benefits of purchasing directly from farmers. The “Tabo with a Heart” event was designed to enhance farmers’ incomes by eliminating middlemen, thus offering consumers quality products at more affordable prices.
