Sungai: A health product manufactured by HKH Warisan Tok Melah in Sungai, Perak, has been identified as adulterated with undeclared, scheduled poisons listed in the Poisons Act 1956. This discovery was made by the Pharmacy Section, Department of Scientific Services, Ministry of Health.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the product, known as Herba Kunyit Hitam, has not received approval from the Ministry of Health for importation or sale. The undeclared substances found in the product pose potential health risks to consumers. As a result, the authorities have prohibited the importation and sale of this product in the country. Members of the public who have purchased or used Herba Kunyit Hitam are strongly urged to cease using it immediately.
