The 5th High Officials Meeting, HOM, Southeast Asia – Technical and Vocational Education and Training, SEA-TVET, provides a platform for the South East Asia Ministers of Education Organisation, in short, SEAMEO member countries, associates, affiliate members and stakeholders to share recent developments and efforts in addressing the 4th Industrial Revolution. The Permanent Secretary for Higher Education at the Ministry of Education said the meeting allows members to determine the regional directions and strategies as a region with the idea in mind to enhance the quality of TVET in line with Industry 4 point 0. Doctor Haji Azman bin Haji Ahmad stated the matter at the welcoming dinner for the meeting’s participants, 9th September night.
The 2-day meeting was a regional gathering attended by representatives from Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam. The meeting was organised by the Ministry of Education with the support of Polytechnic Brunei, Institute Brunei Technical Education, IBTE, International Affairs Section, Ministry of Education and the SEAMEO Regional Centre for Technical Education Development.
