Two local men were brought before the Bandar Seri Begawan Magistrate's Court for involvement in criminal trespass in a house at Kampung Delima Satu in Berakas. Both of them faced charges under the Penal Code, Chapter 22. Initial investigation by investigation personnel from Berakas Police Station of the Royal Brunei Police Force revealed that the suspects were found tresspassing an unlocked vacant house, with the intention to steal a washing machine unit. However, their action was detected by neighbours before they were detained. Further investigation found that the suspects were awaited by his friend in the car.

According to Probationary Inspector Nur Iffah Nabilah Binti Rosli@Dessy Susanty Binti Rosli, Crime and Traffic Investigation Officer, Central Police Station, the first suspect Md Khairul Hafiz Bin Abdullah, 20, and the second suspect, Muhd Zaid Azizi Bin Sazali, 34, are both self-employed. The defendants were brought before the court on the 27th of November to face charges under Section 447 of the Penal Code, Chapter 22, which is criminal trespass. The first defendant pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 1 month imprisonment at Maraburong Prison as of the 27th of November. Meanwhile the second defendant was released on a 1,000 dollar court bail and one local surety.
