Ensuring that teaching is delivered effectively, emphasizing conducive classroom management and positive relationships between teachers and students are key to producing successful students. These were among the matters stressed by the recipient of Princess Maha Chakri Award 2019, Dayang Hajah Noorliah binti Haji Aspar, Headmistress at the Lambak Kanan Jalan 49 Primary School during an interview with RTB yesterday morning.
Dayang Hajah Noorliah stressed that teacher's role is important as they are part of the change-makers toward improvement of schools. School leaders, she added, need to be adept in detecting problems, deficiency or weaknesses in schools, and take actions to resolve and make improvements. Speaking on the Princess Maha Chakri Award that she received last 15th October in Bangkok, Dayang Hajah Noorliah said the award can directly elevate the status of an educator in the country. She also said that her efforts to guide teachers under her administration to improve their teaching performance to achieve excellence in education, in line with the Wawasan 2035 will continue. A school's progress requires a leader with effective leadership, hence Head Teachers play an important role in ensuring a school's effectiveness. She added that provision of such awards can promote good ethics and inspire other educators in the country.
