The trial against Ramzidah binti Pehin Datu Kesuma Diraja Retired Colonel Hj Abdul Rahman and Hj Nabil Daraina bin Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Hj Awg Badaruddin continued yesterday. The last witness for the Prosecution, the Malaysian national, was not available in court to give evidence yesterday morning. The prosecution informed the Court that she is a willing witness but was not available this week to attend court.

The Prosecution sought a short adjournment to sort out the matter. Simon Farrell QC, objected to any adjournments as the Defence would like to carry on with the proceedings and hope to give their evidence by the week beginning 28th of October 2019. The Defence also wishes to make legal submissions related to the charges in this case. Justice Gareth Lugar-Mawson agreed to hear submissions from both the Defence and Prosecution on this matter on Thursday, 24th October 2019. The issues arising from the availability of the Malaysian witness will be dealt with after the legal submissions are heard. The case will resume again on Thursday, the 24th of October 2019.
