The Royal Brunei Navy, RBN received a visit by His Excellency Teo Chee Hean, the Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security of the Republic of Singapore and delegation in conjunction with the 7th Young Leaders Programme, yesterday afternoon.

Upon arrival at the Multi-National Coordinating Centre, His Excellency and delegation were welcomed by First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Othman bin Haji Suhaily @ Suhaily, the Commander of RBN. His Excellency and delegation were then briefed on the role, operation and structure of RBN led by Commander Sonny Iskandar bin Rasani, Head of RBN Staff.

His Excellency and delegation then visited the 'KDB DARUSSALAM' ship, where the delegation was shown the ship's areas such as bridge, 'Combat Information Centre (CIC)' and 'Sickbay'. Also present were Her Excellency Grace Fu, Minister of Culture, Community and Youth, His Excellency Masagos Zulkifli bin Masagos Mohamad, Minister for the Environment and Water Resources and Minister-in-Charge of Muslim Affairs and Mr. Heng Chee How, National Senior Minister, Ministry of Defence.

The visit ended with a Hi-Tea Session hosted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, the Second Minister of Defence at the Officer's Mess of RBN. The Young Leaders Programme acts as an annual interaction platform for leaders from both countries which is hoped to build and foster closer bilateral relations.
