The poor and destitute recipient in the country continue to receive attention from the Brunei Islamic Religious Council, MUIB in the efforts to alleviate their burden. The Presentation ceremony of Capital Tithe Distribution was held at the Ministry of Religious Affairs yesterday afternoon.

The tithe distribution was handed over by Awang Haji Abdul Aziz bin Haji Akop, the Acting Secretary of MUIB. The recipients, Awang Md Reduan bin Abdullah, aged 64, from Seria; Awang Didi Suhardi bin Abdul Hamid, 38-year-old, from Kampung Rimba National Housing Scheme; 44-year-old Awang Haji Narudin bin Haji Pungut from Kampung Baong Putat; Awang Mat Zidi bin Haji Jumat, aged 41, from Kampung Baong Putat and Awang Kamarudin bin Matussin, 61-year-old from Tanah Jambu Landless Indigenous Citizens Housing Scheme. They respectively received a 17-feet boat, 60 horse power engine, trailer and fishing equipment. All the equipment amounting to 8,964 dollars were from the MUIB Tithe Allocation Fund for Poor and Destitute Recipients. The aid is hoped to further enhance the spirit and effort of the recipients to raise their life standard.
